This Side Event on Digital Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes, held during the 77th World Health Assembly, presents new evidence on the concerning rise of aggressive digital marketing of breastmilk substitutes and its pervasive and misleading impact on pregnant women, parents, and society. The presentation includes a detailed look at the 2024 Code Status Report, information on WHO’s Guidance on Digital Marketing, and a panel discussion featuring member states.
