Voices of Mothers Video
From the Code at 40 Celebration
Formula marketing attacks mothers’ confidence in breastfeeding and influences them to give formula, even when they want to breastfeed.
Hear mothers around the world describe how exploitative formula marketing made them doubt their milk supply, worry about their babies’ growth, believe that breastfeeding would be too hard, and doubt their ability to meet their own breastfeeding goals. And, hear from mothers who were protected from formula marketing, assisted to breastfeed, and felt confident and supported on their breastfeeding journeys.
The WHO Code protects families from exploitative infant formula marketing, so they can make their own decisions about how to feed their babies. It’s more important now than ever to advocate for strong WHO Code protections for families everywhere — it protects parents, babies, consumer rights, and global health.
