This advocacy brief summarizes the status of maternity protections worldwide in the areas of maternity leave, mandated workplace nursing facilities and paid breastfeeding breaks for nursing mothers, employment protections, access to childcare in or near workplaces, and protections for informal workers. It concludes with urgent, specific calls to action for governments and employers.
